Haulstow

Service terms

What we commit to.

When a person answers, how quickly a delivery lands, and what can move that date. Written the way we would want it written if we were the ones waiting on a parcel.

01

Call centre hours

Nine to five, Monday to Saturday. Outside those hours the app and the API keep taking bookings. There is simply nobody on the phone until the next working morning.

Monday to Saturday
9:00 – 17:00

The call centre is staffed. Call, WhatsApp or email and you get a person.

Sundays and public holidays
Closed

Bookings still go through in the app and over the API; they are picked up the next working morning.

All times GMT (Accra).

02

Delivery times

Within Accra the ordinary outcome is same-day: booked before 14:00 on a working day, a delivery is dispatched that day and normally arrives that evening. We say most likely rather than guaranteed on purpose. The section below is why.

01

Within Accra

Same day, in most cases

Booked before 14:00 on a working day, an Accra delivery is dispatched the same day and normally arrives that evening. Booked after it, the next working day.

02

Nationwide

Confirmed when you book

Outside Accra the date depends on the destination and the vehicle the load needs. We give you the date at booking rather than a bracket to interpret.

03

Freight and cross-border

Scheduled per shipment

Bulk and cross-border loads run to a plan agreed with you, customs included. These are not same-day movements and are never quoted as one.

03

What can move the date

When a delivery is going to miss its date, we tell you and we tell your customer. You get the reason and the new date by SMS and on the live tracking page, while the parcel is still with us, not after the fact.

  • Heavy rain and flooding, which closes roads across Accra with no notice
  • Vehicle breakdown or an accident on the route
  • Road closures, diversions and exceptional traffic
  • An address that turns out to be incomplete, or a recipient we cannot reach
  • Public holidays and the peak days around them
  • Anything genuinely outside our control: civil disruption, fuel shortages, a network outage
04

What holds either way.

01

A date at booking, not a bracket

Every delivery is given a date when it is booked. You are never left reading a range and guessing which end of it to tell your customer.

02

Your customer is told, not chased

Tracking is live from the moment the parcel is picked up, and your customer gets SMS updates as it moves. They do not have to call you to find out where it is.

03

We carry the risk in transit

If goods are damaged or spoilt while they are with us, Haulstow pays for them in full. That does not change because the day went badly.

04

A missed date is our message to send

You hear it from us, with the reason and the new date, while the parcel is still with us. Finding out from your customer is a failure on our side.

Still not sure? Ask us.

We would rather answer the question than have you find out the hard way.
